Three weeks with no letters. I can think of nothing else but this silence. And though I know that there’s no reason to be anxious, the feeling is stronger than I am, that’s the way it is. …Three weeks means that the post or the censor is responsible. I know that, but it still makes me very sick, despite everything…. Whatever happens, this will be the Nazis’ last spring and probable it’s the Red Army that will occupy Berlin. And that’s a possibility, which can only fill my heart with the deepest enthusiasm.
