12 March 1943

My dear, Just a few words:

I had an interview with my officer. It’s done. The 22nd (in ten days!) I will have my holidays (only seven days!). So on the 23rd I count on finding you at the station, waiting for me. Do you want to?

A letter from my officer to yours has already gone. It announces to your company that I am coming.

Now:

  1. Send me immediately a fixed address of one of our friends, where we count on staying for five days (for my pass!)
  2. I embrace you tenderly
  3. Prepare yourself to be embraced more strongly
  4. I love you, I love you, I love you

Your Henri
