Henri to Yvette.
23rd September Warsaw
My darling,
I have just received your letter of the 20th. Thank you so much for writing so often. Your letters help me so much to endure my solitude. They are so kind, calm and loving and they give me so much courage.
I love you little one. And I count the days to verify that our reunion is very soon.
Tell me, do you really think that my life is filled with anything but your image, our reunion and then the baby? But I can’t talk about it, as you say, “words are idiotic”. As for leaving, darling, my arrival is very soon. I still don’t know the exact date. But there is not doubt it is at the beginning of October. (I don’t know however if I will be there for the 3rd October.)
In any case I will certainly telegraph you, Yvette. (I confess it will be so good to be on the train and thinking that you will be waiting for me at the station!)
As for the apartment, my God, what a pity it is so difficult. However you mustn’t expend so much effort. We wont be sleeping under the bridges, darling. I will see to it. My brother has sent you another 100,000 Fr. I am astonished that you have not yet received it. Let me know. I wrote a long letter to Helene. And I don’t know if it was well done. I don’t even know what I said to her. But don’t worry, it certainly wasn’t arrogant.
And how is Jacqueline? I love you little one, I love you and I embrace you tenderly.
Your Henri
(That’s better for the health)
