Letter 1947.7 – 15 May

Yvette to Henri.

15 May

Short letter. ‘For the last five days I have been writing. I spend my afternoons and evening, pen in hand, and I write and write. I don’t know what it’s worth but I write easily. Different stories, all on the subject of exile. I would like it if you could read the stories and help me. You surely wont be pleased with the choice of subject… I omitted to tell you in my last letters that Helene, under the double pressure of her daughter and the attitude of the Party to Indo-China, has joined the Party. And she is enthusiastic…. I have been waiting a long time for a letter from you, my darling. How are you little one?

I embrace you.

Your Yvette.
